Valentine's Banquet

On Saturday, February 13th, FCC Youth presented their annual Valentine's Banquet featuring their rendition of The Newlywed Game.  A wonderful meal featuring a choice of Bruschetta chicken, roast beef, baked potato, salad, roll, dessert and tea was served.  All of our participating youth served the guests throughout the meal.  Children enjoyed pizza and beverages separately, giving parents an opportunity to relax during the meal.

Following dinner, we enjoyed 4 couples as they competed to win the title as grand prize winner.   Hosted by Bob "Tommy Bowles" Eubanks, couples John & Ellen Dubois, Talmadge & Erica Frontis, James & Susan Wilson and Robert & Kenya Harris were presented a battery of questions directed at both the husbands and the wives.  Coming away as the winning couple with 60 points were Talmadge and Erica who won a 1 night stay at Gentry Creek Inn in Laurel Bloomery, TN, along with chocolates, candles and potpouri, making a romantic getaway.

The youth would like to thank Mrs. Annette Newton of Tasteful Impressions Catering for her help in preparing the food, Pastor Rendie Kostad, Marilyn Mitchell of Gentry Creek Inn for the donation of the 1 night stay, and everyone who came to support this event.  Proceeds from the event will go toward the youth trip to Acquire The Fire on March 19-20.

Children's Christmas Program

On Sunday Dec. 20th, children presented their Christmas Program a play entitled "Finding the Perfect Gift" by Tanya McIlravy; a story in which Inga thinks she has ordered the perfect gift to suit all her shopping needs only to find the one perfect gift is Jesus.  Following the production, those present enjoyed a video to the song Joy to the World by Avalon.  Tevan Roseboro also read from Luke 2:1-20, and KD Stepanek concluded the program with her cheorography to a song from Christmas Shoes.

Following the program, members enjoyed fellowship and merriment over a wide selection of finger foods.

Joyce Ostendarp

FCC enjoyed the ministry of Prophetess Joyce Ostendarp, from West Palm Beach, FL Oct. 28-Nov. 1st.  A well known speaker, she has travelled the country and the world taking a prophetic message to all who hear.  Many who attended received salvation, healing and deliverance, in addition to a prophetic word.  We thank Prophetess Ostendarp for ministering to our people, and we continue to pray for her as she travels around the United States and the world.

Annual Camp Meeting

FCC Mooresville returned from a week at our annual Camp Meeting at Freedom Christian Center in Charlotte.   For over 20 years, Freedom Christian Center in Charlotte has invited featured speaker Andrew Wommack of Andrew Wommack Ministries to bring a message of hope and "Gospel Truth".  Brother Andrew is a well-known television and radio minister, as well as, teacher/speaker at various seminars and gatherings.  The meetings were held under the pavilion at FCC Charlotte Sept. 13th - Sept. 18th each evening at 7:00PM.  People came from across the United States to hear Brother Andrew's message.  Brother Andrew has also become a dedicated supporter of the FCC Mission program, Ambassadors to the Nations, having directors, Pastors Darey and Karen Jolly travel with his Gospel Truths Seminars across the country.  Each year, Camp Meeting continues to grow, and we saw an average attendance of 700-800 people each night, reaching as high as over 900 on Monday.

Ministry Partners, Old Mill Ministries and His Hands Reaching Ministry shared information about their respective ministries and also had items to sell in support of their ministries.  Also, our FCC Youth sold Fried Oreos and Funnel Cakes as a fundraiser to support upcoming ministry work and trips netting over $400.

If you were unable to attend, CD's and MP3's are available.  Please contact us at admin@fccmooresville.org for information about getting a copy.

Back 2 School Bash

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday Aug. 15th for our annual Back 2 School Bash.   We estimate over 400 children and families attended!  We enjoyed a day filled with crafts and activities, Guitar Hero, Bouncy Houses and inflatable basketball.  Through the day we enjoyed music by 3:16 and a performance from Acrofitness.  There was free hotdogs, sno-cones and popcorn.  Children also enjoyed juggling and becoming honorary junior fireman thanks to the Mooresville Fire Dept.  His Hands Reaching Ministry was onhand to share Jesus and also had several "bikes" for kids to see.

Headline speaker Chris Vaughn ended his engagement at the B2S Bash.  He encouraged the children honor their teachers and do their best to be successfull.  Children in all age groups were prayed over and every child received a well filled bag of school supplies.  There were also many giveaways, including 4 new bicycles!

It was a wonderful day, and we thank EVERYONE who had a part in making it happen!

Freedom Ministries Gathering

Freedom Ministries, headquarted in Charlotte, NC, met Friday July 31st and Saturday Aug. 1st for their quarterly fellowship meeting at Freedom Christian Center in Mooresville.  Freedom Ministries is lead by Apostle Dean Melton.  During Friday's evening service , Pastor Gary Kolstad shared a wonderful message, which was preceded by a wonderful time of praise and worship from a combined Freedom Ministry's praise team.  After the service, FCC Youth offered deli sandwich meals as a fundraiser for our Pastor's Gift of a Home.   The following day, Leadership throughout the Ministry came together for the breakfast meeting where Apostle Dean updated those in attendance with news and events throughout the organization.

Father's Day Celebration
Father's were celebrated on June 21st in honor of Father's Day by the FCC Youth.  We thanked each father that arrived and invited them to join other father's for juice, coffee and pastries.   The men were very appreciated of the opportunity to fellowship together, and there were both experienced fathers, as well as new fathers present.  Pastor Rendie and FCC also presented gifts to some of the fathers present following worship service, as tradition.  We thank God for the godly example they show each of us in their daily walk.
Mother's Day Celebration

Moms are very special to Freedom Christian Center Youth, and we took the opportunity to celebrate them on Mother's Day May 10th.  We partnered with Pastor Rendie by providing our moms with pastries, juice and coffee, prior to church, and then presenting many of them with special gifts at the end of service through a drawing.  This was a very special day, and we thank our moms for everything they do to make our lives so special!  We also thank the moms who provided the food for the youth to serve.
